Wallace man found dead

WALLACE– Anthony Deshaun Murray, 39, was found deceased on Friday, Dec. 15, according to a Wallace Police Department social media release. 

“At approximately 9:30pm, Wallace PD responded to a report of shots fired at 125 Poplar St. Upon arrival, officers found an open door and could see a shell casing on the floor inside the residence,” stated the Wallace PD release.

Wallace law enforcement stated that upon entry into the home, a male with an apparent gunshot wound was found. EMS pronounced the man, who was later identified as Murray, deceased.

Wallace law enforcement believe this to be an isolated incident and stated that they do not think there is any further threat to the public.

Law enforcement is asking anyone with information to call the Wallace Police Department at 910-285-2126.
