Stolen U-HAUL recovered, two in jail

Sheriff stresses zero-tolerance policy for criminals targeting law-abiding citizens

KENANSVILLE — Kari Taylor, 28 and Braxton Taylor, 27, both of Kenansville were arrested last Saturday by the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office and the Warsaw Police. They are currently being held at the Duplin County Jail in connection with a stolen U-Haul truck in Warsaw.

Law enforcement officials reported that the U-Haul truck was found at 115 Ben Hardy Lane near Kenansville. This discovery followed numerous tips from local residents regarding the stolen vehicle and the suspicious individuals operating it throughout Duplin County.

Both suspects are facing felony charges. Kari was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and is in jail under a $15,000 secured bond. Braxton was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and is currently held without bond.
