Athlete of the Week: Lilly Fulghum

North Duplin, softball

Lilly Fulghum has already made a name for herself after pitching North Duplin to the 1A finals last season. But that was her sophomore campaign.
Fulghum has picked up  where she left off by hitting .632, with eight doubles in 19 plate appearances. She has driven in 11 runs and has an on-base percentage of .667. All of this happened over the course of just five games.
She 2-0 in the circle as the Rebels (4-1, 1-0) go for their third consecutive Carolina 1A Conference title.
Fulghum was a starter of the basketball team this past winter and did the same in the fall for the volleyball squad.
