Bryan Lawrence Cox, 41, of Sanford has been identified as the suspect in a fatal hit and run that resulted in the death of Noah Garret Inman, 25, last Saturday.
Court documents obtained by Duplin Journal reveal that an arrest warrant for Cox was issued on June 23 in connection with the incident. He was subsequently arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run resulting in the death of Inman. Additionally, Cox faces charges for failing to report the accident and has been placed on a $25,000 secured bond.
The warrant states that the accident caused property damage to a 2019 Ford F-350 truck, amounting to $1,000 or more. According to authorities Inman’s body was discovered in a ditch along NC 24 on Monday morning, after a postal worker alerted the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office of a man laying in a ditch along NC 24.
