Guidelines to submit a Letter to the Editor

  • Letters should be between 150 – 250 words.
  • Focus on a single issue or point.
  • State your main point in the first sentence.
  • Use facts, logic, or personal experience to back up your view.
  • Share how the issue affects you or your community.
  • Be respectful. Avoid personal attacks or inflammatory language.
  • Suggest a solution, change, or action readers or officials can take.
  • Sign with your full name and your town of residence.
